About Haiti Pastor Training Mission
The pastoral training under HPTM is open to all pastors but is specially designed for those rural pastors who, for the most part, have not been able to leave their homes, gardens, families, and churches to attend a formal Bible school.

The pastoral training is based on the principles from three biblical passages:
2 Timothy 2:2 where Paul told Timothy, "And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also." (KJV)
Pastor Dave does not disciple all the church leaders... he trains the pastors to do that and the supervises and encourages them in their responsibility to teach others what they have been taught. If Pastor Dave does all of the teachings the ministry can only add... but if those taught teach others, the ministry can multiply!
Mark 3:14 where it says that Jesus, "ordained twelve, that they should be with Him, and that He might send them forth to preach." (KJV)
Pastor Dave not only teaches pastors in the classroom but also spends time with them individually that they might learn from him and pass those things on to others. Many pastors have told him that personal meetings are just like a practical course in the Bible.
Acts 20:20 where the apostle Paul says to the leaders of the church in Ephesus, "I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have taught you publicly, and from house to house." (KJV)
Pastor Dave takes great joy in visiting the homes of the country pastors, even spending the night with them. In this way, he is able to have good insight into the family life of the pastor and is able to impart many Biblical principles of Christian, family living.
